Drugs seized in Cyrildene

Heroin and crystal methamphetamine were apparently found on the property.

The SAPS arrested two men in Cyrildene on Thursday for allegedly dealing in cocaine.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said the men were caught allegedly exchanging a packet of cocaine in Hettie Street.

Police officers went to a house in Friedland Avenue, which is believed to be the residence of one of the suspects. Heroin and crystal methamphetamine were apparently found on the property.

Nothing was found at the other suspect’s house.

The men were due to appear in the Jeppe Magistrate’s Court yesterday. At the time of going to print, the outcome was unknown.
