Construction of Yeoville SAPS building continues

The building is situated behind the current police station, which is on Kenmere Street.

The construction of the new Yeoville Police Station is continuing without any disruptions.

The building is situated behind the current police station, which is on Kenmere Street.

“We are still within our target of completing the building in June this year. We have not had any disruptions since last year. Everything has been running smoothly,” said Mr Patrick Wisani, the Community Liaison Officer for the project.

The new police station will be a welcomed by all, as the current police station is a five-roomed house with shipping containers for offices. The station currently has no holding cells and suspects have to be taken to the nearby Hillbrow SAPS for detention.
