Many of the beneficiaries have been selling their goods on the streets of Edenvale for more than 10 years.

The trolleys will form part of the upliftment of the CBD through the Edenvale City Improvement District (ECID).

Beneficiaries were identified through hawker’s database that covers almost all areas of Edenvale including the ECID.

The departments of economic development and city development were the key stakeholders who assisted with demarcation of selling areas and work-shopping hawkers on prospective development of their businesses.
