We at Saheti School have much to be grateful for, as it is through Madiba’s statesmanship, and his unique ability to know and understand that the values of democracy which are at the very roots of Hellenism were the basis and foundation for the sustainability of our nation.
We will always be humbled by his great contribution and are proud of his close association with Saheti’s founder, Advocate George Bizos, their lifelong friendship, their common desire to ensure that human dignity and equality for all never faltered no matter what adversity they faced together.
Through this friendship, Madiba’s association with Saheti School was and will always be treasured.
His visit to our school will always be remembered as a tremendous honour.
His wisdom moved us closer, made us resolute in our common purpose of working towards a nation that is together, and in our desire for prosperity and success.
We thank God for his life.
Our message to our school’s children and to our community is to hold on to the values and principles which Madiba practiced, human dignity, forgiveness, kindness, courage, strength and integrity and to take these forward in all that they do and to grow into men and women whose contribution to the future of our land will be a tribute to the life of Madiba.
On behalf of the Saheti School family, we extend to the family of Madiba, our deepest condolences on their personal loss, a loss that is shared by millions, and take comfort in the fact that our lives have been touched by this truly remarkable man.
Madiba we thank you. You were and will remain an inspiration to us all and for generations to come, an inspiration to respect and have regard for humanity, equality, justice and freedom.
