The Theo Jackson Scholarship Fund for grade 11 pupils at Jeppe High School for Boys recently raised money for a charity.

Every year, the pupils are required to initiate a charity project of their choice.

This year they raised R8 500. They handed over a cheque of R5 000 to the Nkosi Neighbourhood Foundation, a local charity which among other things, runs a crèche for pre-school children.

The Theo Jackson Scholarship Fund boys and the Jeppe Pipe Band also recently assisted with the annual Charity Hat Walk.

The event was sponsored by Balwin Properties, of which the Theo Jackson Scholarship Fund is a beneficiary. The walk, hosted by Jeppe Athletics, was held in conjunction with the Bedfordview Community Police Forum.

Over 1 000 people walked the streets of Bedfordview to raise money for charity. The Jeppe Pipe Band led the walk and Jeppe schoolboys were marshals.
