D-day for e-toll

According to South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) 800 000 tags have been sold.

At midnight, e-toll gantries on Gauteng’s major routes went live.

A number of alternate routes were severely congested this morning.

In addition to the burden on Gauteng motorists, at midnight tonight the petrol price will increase by 17c per litre while the price of diesel will increase by 10c per litre.

Many have taken to social media to express their anger.
