Woman arrested for perjury

When the Befordview SAPS reviewed the case during the course of their investigations, they found the very same woman had given another statement to the SAPS claiming she had not been hijacked, but had given the car to someone else to take over the repayments.

A woman was arrested for perjury after providing the Bedfordview SAPS with inconsistent information. The woman went to police claiming that on November 5, two armed suspects hijacked her when she stopped at a traffic light. The suspects drove off with her car.

When the Befordview SAPS reviewed the case during the course of their investigations, they found the very same woman had given another statement to the SAPS claiming she had not been hijacked, but had given the car to someone else to take over the repayments.

The woman was allegedly having financial problems.

The 32-year-old woman was arrested for perjury and her court appearance has been postponed to a another date, pending further investigations.
