Four suspects were arrested following a robbery at the Super Group on Brollo and Barbara roads on October 26.
A private investigator found discrepancies in the CCTV footage after the stock theft.
He interviewed the guard on duty the night of the theft and found the guard had been approached by four suspects requesting his assistance in stealing the stock.
The security guard refused to assist the men, but when they threatened to kill him, he agreed to help. The guard handed over a set of keys to the suspects and was forced to delete any CCTV footage of the suspects.
Before leaving, the suspects informed the security guard that they would return.
The private investigator then set a trap, with the help of the security guard. When the men returned on the November 2 for another robbery, the security guard led the men into the warehouse where they were arrested.
