Three wins in a row for Kyle

Bedfordview Primary School grade 6 pupil, Kyle Letley, has proved to be a good contender for the top open water swimmer's spot in the boys U/13 category.

In October, Kyle won the Middelburg Mile, the Dischem Sun City Swim and the Ebotse Mile Swim held in Benoni.

Kyle’s coach, Michelle Zumpt said, “His achievements are through his sheer determination and will to succeed. He takes his training seriously and despite his big dreams, he is a humble child who can both win and lose equally graciously.”

Kyle has represented Eastern Gauteng in Inter Provincial galas and swims competitively for his school and his club. His next big goal is to win his school’s mile and half mile events at the end of November. As a bonus, he aims to break both records set in 2000 by Keri-Anne Payne, a British Olympic swimmer and an ex-pupil of Bedfordview Primary School.
