Skull remains could be missing person

Authorities believe the human remains removed from a drain in Kensington may be a male.

A human skull was discovered on Sunday.

According to authorities, a security guard saw a skull stuck in a drain close to Kitchener Avenue and Lancaster Street.

Police were contacted and the skull was retrieved. Other remains were also seen in a drain. Authorities were able to remove these remains. Only the limbs, from the hips down, were found. Although they searched for the rest of the body, no other remains were found.

According to authorities, the remains belong to a person in their mid-20s. They were able to establish this by examining the jaw bone.

Pants and shoes were also found on the remains.

Authorities are investigating the possibility of the remains being a person who was reported missing a few months ago.
