Local dancer aims for Hollywood
He has performed on stages in London, Greece, Slovenia and Germany.
Edenvale resident, Adrian Bennett, aims to show off his dancing talents in Hollywood.
Adrian discovered his love for dancing at the age of eight and, in just a few years, he was taking classes in modern, jazz, contemporary and ballet in Edenvale.
By the age of 12, Adrian was training for competitive dance competitions.
Adrian developed a close relationship with a number of corporate companies in 2010.
He took on several contracts which saw him perform across the country and also internationally.
“I have performed in Burlesque shows, adverts, at cosmetics launches and at the Miss Italy Pageant,” said Adrian.
He was later placed in the top 12 contestants of the South African television show, Dans Dans Dans.
Adrian has also been involved with productions at Sun City, The State Theatre in Pretoria and the Grand West Arena in Cape Town.
“My career highlights so far are dancing in the Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Girls show and the Michael Jackson HIStory tour, which allowed me to perform in Australia, New Zealand, Swaziland and Botswana,” said Adrian.
He has also performed on stages in London, Greece, Slovenia and Germany.
Adrian is currently part of a production on board Princess Cruise Lines.
“I am so grateful for all that I have accomplished in my career and the people who have helped get me here,” he said.
“My absolute passion in life is performance and dance, and I want to share this love with the world. I want to achieve more than the average person in my field and am willing to put in the extra work to achieve more than I set out to.”
Adrian aims to be an inspiration to the youth of South Africa.
“Anything is possible if you believe in yourself and dream big,” he said.
