Casual Day ambassador raises over R20k

As a Casual Day ambassador, Nicole organised fundraisers, visited early learning centres for children with disabilities, did media interviews and used her personal networks to raise awareness for Casual Day.

Bedfordview resident and Casual Day ambassador, Nicole Laxton, raised R26 050 for the Casual Day project.

The project benefits the Gauteng Branch of Epilepsy SA in Springs, Sunshine Association Early Learning Centre in Elsburg, the National Council for Persons with Physical Disability in Edenvale and other participating beneficiaries.

As a Casual Day ambassador, Nicole organised fundraisers, visited early learning centres for children with disabilities, did media interviews and used her personal networks to raise awareness for Casual Day.

Project leader Celeste Vinassa said this year’s Casual Day was a success because a network of volunteers contributed their time, energy, enthusiasm and experience to the project.

“Nicole is committed to being of service to her community and uses her influence and status as a celebrity to do good,” said Celeste.

The 19-year-old’s empathy for people with disabilities is partly as a result of being diagnosed with Absence Epilepsy when she was nine-years-old.

Nicole is also the youth ambassador for Epilepsy SA.
