Man*Z making waves in the music industry

Fairview’s Kwazi Zamani Mnqayi is set to release his debut album later this year.

The 24-year-old rapper known as Man*Z to his fast growing fan base has been described as a sensational stage act.

According to Man*Z his lyrical content finds its roots deep within his culture.

Born on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal Man*Z discovered his musical talents at the age of 11.

“I started rapping poetry which I believe is the reason my music has evolved so uniquely,” Man*Z told the EXPRESS.

His energetic stage presence has seen him featured in the EXPRESS previously when he performed at Hofland Park in October 2011.

In January the following year Man*Z was voted as the best upcoming artist on Chora FM in KwaZulu-Natal.

He has performed at a number of clubs in Johannesburg and Durban and was featured on community radio stations Chora Fm, Newcastle Community Radio and Kasi Fm .

“I always aim to stay true to myself,” Man*Z said.
