Cresswick to donate 400th gift of life
Blood donor, Mr Maurice Cresswick (87), will donate his 400th unit of blood at the Linksfield Blood Donor Centre on October 15.
Mr Cresswick is in the Guinness Book of Records for donating the most units of blood.
People are invited to attend this event to celebrate this milestone achievement in the history of blood donors’ worldwide.
Mr Cresswick will donate blood at 11am.
Each unit of blood can benefit three patients in need of transfusions.
To donate blood you need to be older than 16 years, weigh 50 kilogrammes or more and lead a sexually safe lifestyle.
You will need to eat a meal at least four hours before donating blood.
The Linksfield Blood Donor Centre is located in the Linksfield Terrace Shopping Centre.
