Second bike incident will be kept on record
Two adults caught riding a motorcycle in Bedfordview with a child between them, wrapped only in a blanket, will also have to answer to authorities.
Spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD), Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, said the registered owner of the motorcycle will be contacted and made aware of the offence.
“The child was not supposed to be on that bike,” he said.
The photograph was taken by a resident, who asked to remain anonymous, on Van Buuren Road.
“The EMPD will also inform the registered owner of the motorbike that this incident will be kept on record and reference will be made to the offence if the vehicle is involved in an accident, or in commission of any other offence,” said Supt Kgasago.
