Dedicated officers retire

After 67 years of dedicated service, two Jeppe SAPS officers have retired.

Last Wednesday saw Warrant Officer Barrington Nndwamato Nematswerani and Lieutenant Nobuyelela Ngudle step down from service at their respective stations. W/O Nematswerani has 41 years of service to his credit and Lt Ngudle has 26 years.

W/O Nematswerani was employed in July, 1972. He started at the Fairland SAPS and was stationed there for nine years. He moved on to Mondeor SAPS, where he spent a further 10 years before moving to the Jeppe SAPS in 1991. He received SAPS medals for faithful service, a SAPS star for merit and a SAPS ten-year service commemoration medal.

Lieutenant Ngudle was employed in October 1986 at the Meadowlands SAPS. She spent 13 years there before transferring to the Eldorado Park SAPS in 1999, where she worked until 2011. She was promoted to Lieutenant at Jeppe SAPS. She retired on her 60th birthday.

Warrant Officer Nematswarani celebrated his 60th birthday on Tuesday.

Station Commander, Brigadier Govindsamy Mariemuthoo, and his station management congratulated and wished the two police officers well on their retirement.
