Men arrested for dealing in drugs

Two men were arrested for dealing in drugs by Jeppe SAPS recently.

Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, Jeppe SAPS communications officer, said police officers received information on July 18 about a man who was dealing in drugs in Jeppestown.

The police went to a flat and found a Nigerian man in possession of bags of powder believed to be drugs, 14 cellular phones and R102 670 in cash.

The man was arrested. The following day another Nigerian man was arrested for dealing in dagga in Doornfontein.

Police officers were patrolling Doornfontein when they received information about drug dealing. “On their arrival they found the suspect in possession of three parcels of dagga. They arrested him,” said W/O Munyai.

He added that Jeppe SAPS is “on a mission to root out drugs”.

“The raids are still continuing to make sure that no drug dealers are found in this area,” he said.
