Two men were arrested yesterday after they held an Eastleigh domestic worker hostage during a house robbery.
Acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts, said police officers received a call for a house robbery in progress.
“When officers arrived on scene, the men jumped over the boundary wall of the property and fled towards the Edenvale Sports Grounds,” Lt Col Roberts said.
With the help of reaction officers from Mamba, the sports grounds were cordoned off and the two men arrested.
The men are expected to appear in the Germiston Regional Court soon.
