Edenvale Panthers tamed

Rain on the day provided for slippery conditions for the players and a number of puddles on the field.

Despite a valiant effort from the Edenvale Panthers Rugby Club, the team lost against Meyerton Knights.

The game, which took place at the Edenvale Sports Grounds on February 25, saw the two teams facing each other in an Assupol Tournament fixture.

Rain on the day created numerous puddles on the field, which resulted in slippery conditions for the players.

This however, did not slow the two teams down in their chase for victory.

“Usually we will only have one game played on a day, but today was great because we had three,” said Mr Phillip Venter, chairperson of the Panthers Rugby Club.

Mr Venter said the day was a success, owing to the number of games played on the day.

The Panthers lost 22-15.
