The Morninghill Futsal Football Club hosted its first South African Football Association (Safa) Futsal League games recently.

The event was held at the Morninghill Country Club in Bruma.

The aim of the league is to increase the popularity of the sport throughout South Africa and to get more people involved in and aware of the sport.

Mr Alessandro Fede, the coach and a member of the Morninghill Football Arena, said the team was established earlier this year and they entered the league in July.

“Our future plans for the team is to coach young players on how to play Futsal League and how to enjoy themselves no matter if they win or lose.

“We will also teach them fair play and team work,” said Mr Fede.
