Residents came out in large numbers on Saturday last week to see the Festival Lights for the first time in about 25 years.
The Bambanani Brass band had the crowd dancing to their sounds of trumpets, drums, tubas and trombones.
Edenvale’s Festival Lights on Van Riebeeck Avenue added spark to the area’s community spirit.
Residents came out in large numbers on Saturday last week to see the Festival Lights for the first time in about 25 years.
The community came together at the Mardi Gras, which was a festival filled with a variety of stalls that included food, drinks and many other goodies to take home.
At 7pm the lights were switched on, while the Mardi Gras continued.
The festival produced community excitement and hundreds of individuals came together to build on community spirit.
The Edenvale Mardi Gras boasted a variety of stalls for young and old.

At 7pm the festival lights were switched on, while residents continued shopping at the various stalls.
The Mardi Gras had a variety of entertainment lined up, including self defense demonstrations by Kelly Marcel and her partner.
