The SuperSport Wheelchair Basketball All Stars team were narrowly defeated when they played the France All Star team at the Mandeville Sports Centre on Saturday, August 2.
The game, which started at 3pm, ended in favour of the France All Star team with a score of 58-49.
Houcine Belaid and Nicholas Jouanserre were the stand out players in the France All Star team. Belaid secured a total of 16 points with Jouanserre securing a total of 15 points for the France All Star team.
Sasol South Africa player Jaco Van Niekerk, was the SuperSport Wheelchair Basketball All Stars team’s best player on the day and received the man of the match award.
The SuperSports Wheelchair Basketball All Stars team’s points were mainly scored by Gift Mooketsei and Shane Williams. Mooketsei secured a total of 17 points with Williams securing 12 points for the SuperSport Wheelchair Basketball All Stars team.
