Old School 2 retains second position

Old School 2 retained second place on the division two Last Man Stands (LMS) tournament log when they defeated Blood, Sweat and Brandy by 19 runs.

Old School 2 batted first in the match that took place at Jeppe Quondom on Saturday, June 21.

Shane Glover was Old School 2’s best batsman. Glover reached the half century mark, securing 58 runs from 43 balls.

Old School 2 side ended their batting with a score of 155 for the loss of five wickets after 20 overs.

Blood, Sweat and Brandy started their innings well, with some fine batting.

Darren Munn was Blood, Sweat and Brandy’s best batsman, scoring 39 runs from 28 balls. LeeRoy Erasmus scored 13 runs from 11 balls and Charl Rheeders made five runs from 10 balls.

Blood, Sweat and Brandy could not keep up with the required run rate and fell behind. The final score for Blood, Sweat and Brandy was 136 for the loss of five wickets after 20 overs.
