Rally focusses on awareness

Brothers For Life, in partnership with the South African National Aids Council (SANAC) Men’s Sector, will host the event at the Johannesburg Stadium.

The rally is being held to bring about awareness of violence against women, rape and killing of women and children, targeting of lesbians and the killing of men.

Members of the organisations believe gender based violence is rife and it is men who have to put a stop to it.

The rally aims to bring together and unite South African men from all walks of life in the fight to end violence against women and children. Members urge people to stand up and say “Enough.”

The rally will give men the opportunity to learn more about their health as well. Members of the organisations also believe only a small percentage of men test themselves for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). As a result, men who should be on treatment are not and they are unaware of how to take care of their sexual health.
