Gateway, the title of the Tshwane University of Technology’s Department of Performing Arts’ latest dance production, promises to entertain audiences.
It showcases dance techniques ranging from African dance to classical ballet. The production will take to the stage at the Breytenbach Theatre from April 16. It ends on April 26.
Produced by Dr Vusabantu Ngema, co-ordinator of the dance programme, and directed by Sidney Agnew, lecturer at the department, the production will feature original works by Sidney and other well-known choreographers and dancers such. Gateway is dedicated to the former Department of Dance and Musical Theatre’s Head, Vicki Karras. Performances start at 7.30pm from Monday to Saturday, with matinee performances at 3pm on April 26.
