Explore your human rights in Sophiatown

Join a tour starting from the Sophiatown Heritage and Cultural Centre, 73 Toby Street, on March 22.

South Africa´s Human Rights Day recalls the lives lost in Sharpeville in 1960 – one of the key dates on the “Long Walk to Freedom”.

However, the fight for equality in South Africa began in the early 1900s.

Join the tour in Sophiatown to hear about that part of the journey.

The tour starts at 11am and ends at 1pm.
