Help Edenvale police identify body of unknown woman
The woman was found lying motionless on the R24 eastbound near the Barbara Road Bridge.
The Edenvale SAPS appealed to community members in Edenvale and surrounding areas for help in identifying a body.
According to detective Sergeant Simon Selomane, Sanral officials conducting routine patrols on May 12 found the woman lying motionless on the R24 eastbound near the Barbara Road Bridge.
The Gauteng Emergency Medical Services declared the African woman, who wore dark clothes, dead.
It is unknown if the deceased had any tattoos or identifiable features.

The police suspect a vehicle struck her in the early hours of the morning.
The deceased is at the Germiston morgue.
Selomane explained that if the deceased remains unidentified, she will be buried as a pauper.
