“It’s not just about the bowling but how our members support each other both on and off the green.”

The club also secured silver medals in both the ladies veterans and male veterans categories.

They have had a successful year with several accolades including the men’s team clinching the fours title in the nationals and the ladies’ team securing second place in their league.

They also hosted the national tournament in May.

Londal praised the club’s facilities, which have been upgraded thanks to the support of Philip Neville and Shaleen Endress.

“Their financial backing has been crucial in transforming our clubhouse. With a brand-new kitchen and improved amenities, we are now better equipped to host events and serve our members,” he added.

They are now preparing for the Bowls for the Disabled National Championships set to take place in 2025.

Club of the year awarded to the BCC bowling club by the JBA.

“Bowls is a sport that can be enjoyed by anyone, irrespective of who you are. We’re eager to bring in younger players and increase our female membership to continue growing the game and our club,” said Londal.

He invites the community to visit and experience what the BCC bowls have to offer.

“We welcome everyone to see what bowling is all about. We have qualified coaches available, and we encourage people to come and try it out,” he said.
