Edenvale Football Club loses against Rovers

“We, as the coaching team, will continue as much as we can to upskill the players,”

Edenvale Football Club’s U12’s Division Three team went head-to-head with Rovers Football Club.

Despite giving it their best, EFC lost 5-0.

The match was played on July 20 at Edenvale Sports Grounds.

EFC coach Jason Moodley said it was a difficult game for the players considering this is the first year they are playing soccer.

Players from Rover and Edenvale football clubs collide as they both try gain possession of the ball.

“Our boys tried, however, the opposition was very competitive. The opposition have been playing together for a few years,” said Moodley.

Moodley said the match was a great learning opportunity for the Edenvale team highlighting what areas they need to develop.

“The children that need extra lessons have the opportunity to join global soccer so that they can improve their skills on a one-on-one basis.

He said the team does have some stand-out players.

“They work hard and spend time on their own to improve their skills and knowledge by watching and understanding soccer,” said Moodley.
