Bedfordview Country Club defeats Blackball United

The win has secured the club a second position in the Eastern League Football Association L3 with 17 points.

It was a thrilling win for Bedfordview Country Club U17s as they thrashed Blackball United by 8-0 on June 30 at the Bedfordview Country Club grounds.

Coach Zama Makhoba said they are four points away from top spot.

Blackball United suffered defeat at the hands of BCC during their recent encounter.

“We had a slow start to the game, we missed a few chances in the first 10 minutes but we still managed to score three goals in the first half. Second half we came back better and hungrier for more goals.

“Overall it was a good performance from the boys,” said Makhoba.

They are now focusing on maintaining the momentum.

“We plan to win the next upcoming matches. In terms of challenges, we haven’t had any as the league has been running smoothly.”
