While the queues are not particularly long, residents have expressed frustration over the sluggish pace of the process.

Bedfordview ward councillor Jill Humphreys urges residents to be patient and use the time in queues to get to know their neighbours while waiting to vote.

She is at the Scout Hall in Bedfordview.

Bedfordview resident Erin O’Meara (32) was excited to share her inked thumb, saying; “If you don’t vote nothing will ever change and everyone’s vote counts. As a first time voter the process was simply and everyone was helpful and very kind.”
