Jeppe High School for Girls School launches 67 Blanket Drive

Jeppe Girls has contributed over 4 000 blankets to 67 Blankets, and the school is humbled and excited to continue this life-changing initiative.

Jeppe High School for Girls recently launched this year’s blanket drive for 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day.

During assembly on February 19, the school was blown away by a special visitor, SA singer and recording artist Timothy Moloi.

On February 19, SA singer and recording artist Timothy Moloi spoke to the Jeppe High School for Girls learners about the blanket drive launch for 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day. He reminded community members to give back and to show people in need that they are cared for.

He spoke to the learners, motivating and inspiring Jeppe Girls and community members to participate in something bigger.

Moloi reminded those in attendance of the privilege to give back creatively, with time and energy, and show people who need it that they are cared for in ways they never thought possible.

Former public relations officer manager at the school, Carole Heming, joined the assembly and gave learners a brief history of Jeppe Girls’ involvement in 67 Blankets over the years.
