Rand Aid called on the community to help make Thembalami Care Centre and Max Ordman Deaf Association’s (MODA) fête successful.

Run by the Rand Aid Association, an NPO, Thembalami cares for senior citizens who cannot live independently, while MODA is home to older people with hearing challenges.

Some residents receive little more than a government subsidy, and the annual fundraising fête adds warmth to their lives.

This year, the event will be held on October 28.
