The intention was to raise awareness about contact crime.

The door-to-door campaign involved the distribution of safety tips.

Moeketsi Motaung, the chairperson of the West District Men as Safety Promoters, said Primrose was classified by the MEC of Community Safety, Faith Mazibuko, as a challenging location regarding contact crime.

“Men were urged to contribute to community problem-solving efforts. Together, we must combat GBV, crime, and many other problems. Working together, we can do more,” said Motaung.

Primrose SAPS corporate communications Sergeant Styles Maome said the Thokoza, Katlehong and Alberton stations also joined the campaign.

“They covered Primrose East, Marlands, the Primrose informal settlements, and the Rietfontein business district area.
