The FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations is an annual event that attracts the top riders from seven African countries – Angola, Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, who compete for the top honours in all the different classes.

Broskie also participated in the Roof of Africa Extreme Enduro, with his best finish being sixth in the bronze class.

The Roof, known as the ‘mother of hard enduro’, is the world’s oldest hard enduro race.

His achievements also include being the first 125cc rider to receive a rider blazer for winning the WOMZA inland and interprovincial MX series in the 125cc class.

Broskie plans to compete overseas and will travel to Europe and the United Kingdom in the next few months to attend technical training sessions and, hopefully, participate in the regional motocross and enduro events.

From a young age, Broskie was involved with motorbike racing.

He was only 18 months old when he wore his first pair of riding pants and helmet at the track in Polokwane.

Coming from a racing family, he is continuing the family legacy.

Broskie is in a gap year. His tertiary studies for Bachelor of Arts and BCom Business start at the University of Pretoria next year.
