Rand Road Warriors Edenvale reminds community of race

"The club hopes the residents of Edenvale, through their patience, joins us in assisting our charities, who are desperately in need of funds."

Community members are reminded of the upcoming Edenvale Marathon.

The race hosted by Rand Road Warriors Edenvale will start at 06:00 on February 26.

Club committee member of security as well as media liaison Jackie Allen said proceeds from the annual charity event will go towards several Edenvale organisations, which include Little Eden Society, RySky and Brainy Birds.

Managed by a volunteer committee, Rand Road Warriors Edenvale hopes that this year’s event will be a success.

Allen said the club expects 4 000 runners on the day, which will make use of Edenvale’s roads leading to a busy day with some partial road closures.

Distances are 5km, 21km and 42km, which will see the last runners come in by the latest 13:00.

The start and finish point is Edenvale High School on Linksfield Road.
