St Catherine’s class of 2022 excels

St Catherine’s keeps 100% pass rate for over a decade.

The matric class of 2022 at St Catherine’s exceled in the IEB matric examinations.

The school entered 44 candidates for the examination and, as has been customary for well over a decade, gained a 100% pass rate.

A total of 43 learners achieved a bachelor’s pass which enables them to attend university and a diploma pass was awarded to one learner.

Top achiever was head girl and Valedictorian Monkeng Tladie, who bagged a full house of seven distinctions.

She obtained distinctions in English, isiZulu, mathematics, physical science, life sciences, business studies and life orientation.

She also placed in the top 1% of candidates in the country for life orientation.

Melissa Wingson.

Monkeng was closely followed by Melissa Wingson and Finejoy Sithole who each achieved six distinctions.

Sandile Twala and Shamoné Ruiters each obtained five distinctions and Khanya Mokwena and Bokang Monareng each bagged distinctions in three subjects.
