I took this picture on November 27, at 12:48, from our south-facing front garden in Edenglen looking pretty close to the south.

The cloud could have been over Primrose, Germiston.

Unfortunately, I did not see the tornado shape forming as I first saw it a few minutes earlier from our front door and went to get my camera.

When I first spotted it, it lasted for approximately five minutes then it started shrinking from the tip.

The cloud then gradually broke up and disappeared less than a minute later.

An unusual phenomenon for our part of the world.

Regards, George.
