Mothers celebrate milestones at Busamed’s Modderfontein Private Hospital

“It was a well-received event as staff and parents were happy to meet each other after the journey they had.”

Busamed’s Modderfontein Private Hospital hosted an event to create awareness for World Prematurity Day.

The day is observed annually on November 17 to create awareness about premature babies and their families.

Marketing manager, Asiphe Hlela, said on the day preemie moms who gave birth last year were invited to honour the milestone they had with the hospital and their babies.

“It was a well-received event as staff and parents were happy to meet each other after the journey they had,” said Asiphe.

She said it was an amazing experience to meet children who were born less than 1kg and have now grown big and strong.

Asiphe said the highlight of the day was the appreciation the hospital received from the parents and seeing the bond they shared with staff.

“The event was a success and we look forward to hosting many more.”
