Sebenza police engage locals on GBV awareness

"Even men can be victims of GBV they must report any incidents as everyone has a right to open a case.”

Police officers from Sebenza SAPS conducted two GBV awareness campaigns in Modderfontein.

Sebenza SAPS corporate communications officer Sergeant Sharon Tsotsotso said on October 13 officers visited Flamingo Shopping Centre where they distributed awareness pamphlets.

Two days later the station followed up with another campaign at the Fourways Farmers Market in Modderfontein where they distributed more awareness pamphlets and interacted with the community.

“Even men can be victims of GBV. They must report any incidents as everyone has a right to open a case,” said Tsotsotso.
