Elphin lodge displays gorgeous gardens

Visitors also enjoyed the tea garden with coffee served by baristas and tasty treats made mostly by Elphin Lodge residents.

Rand Aid’s Elphin Lodge Retirement Village was abuzz with visitors at its open gardens event.

Held over October 1 and 2, the event was organised by Gardens of the Golden City in conjunction with Elphin Lodge’s Garden Club.

It showcased 15 gardens which were on display in the village.

“All proceeds from the event will be donated to Park Care and Earth Centre,” said Pam Heller, an Elphin Lodge resident who coordinated the event.

“Elphin Lodge residents and the public truly enjoyed the wonderful gardens and the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the village.”

“This was all this served on the clubhouse’s veranda, overlooking the beautiful dams that are surrounded by reeds and willow trees,” described Pam.
