Rugby teams clash in Edenvale

The event was one of several planned by the club throughout the year to celebrate its 70 years of history.

Sixteen teams took to the field when Edenvale Rugby Club hosted its invitational rugby day on March 26.

The event was one of several planned by the club throughout the year to celebrate its 70 years of history.

Members of Edenvale’s first team received their new rugby jerseys.

Teams that participated included:
• Kempton Park Women vs Nigel Women
• Tendella vs Hillbillies
• Edenvale u-21 vs Sasolburg u-21
• Harlequins second team vs Nigel third team
• Heidelberg second team vs Sasolburg second team
• Harlequins first team vs Sasolburg first team
• Edenvale second team vs Nigel second team
• Edenvale first team vs Heidelberg first team
Besides being a rugby-filled day, the event was a fun-filled day for all, with stalls, jumping castles and live entertainment on hand to keep spectators entertained.
