“Thank you to StaminoGro, our sponsor, the Rand Road Warrior members and their families for all their hard work and who continue to support our race,” said Lemkus.

She also thanked the greater community of Edenvale and the surrounding areas for their patience and understanding while the race was held.
“The goal we have always had around our races is to raise as much money for the community,” said Lemkus.

This year, the StaminoGro Edenvale Blitz 15K raised funds for Trifactor Edenvale Ferals and Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.

ERRW chairperson Sharon Holton said the club was thrilled by the turnout at the race.

“A big thank you must go out to all the local running clubs who supported Rand Road Warriors. We are extremely grateful,” said Holton.

Holton said following the race, the club would take a break but would start preparing for its upcoming 21 and 42km Edenvale Marathon in June.

“To those runners who took on the 15km Blitz as their first 15km road race, now you have a 21km to start training for,” said Holton.

“We look forward to seeing everyone at the annual Edenvale Marathon.”
Holton thanked all the Rand Road Warriors family who assisted and congratulated race director Lemkus.
