Clr Charlotte Zitha, a member of the mayoral committee responsible for health and social development, was present to greet the newcomers.

The employees were introduced to their new positions and responsibilities.

The contract’s main goal is to speed up vaccines in the city and to provide communities with health and wellness education.

“The city has contributed significantly in creating work opportunities, many of those are the youth from different backgrounds.

“I am delighted to welcome the temporary employees, and I wish them a very fruitful six months. I hope that they will work diligently and serve our communities with humility and pride,” said Zitha.

“The EPEP is an important government effort that contributes to government policy priorities, such as decent work and sustainable livelihoods, education, health, rural development, food security and crime and corruption prevention. It also alleviates poverty and income inequality by providing unemployed people with temporary labour that is socially beneficial.”
