Edenvale SAPS Communication Sgt Jacob Mashile said the body was found after the woman was reported missing.

Mashile said an Edenvale SAPS detective Sgt discovered the body which had multiple stab wounds in its neck and abdomen in a wheelie bin at the property.

He said the suspect was arrested in Sunward Park, Boksburg and taken to Edenvale Police Station for Processing on the evening of January 3.

Mashile said the detective discovered the body while conducting follow-up investigations on the original missing person case.

“At the bed and breakfast the detective noticed bloodstains on the stairs leading to the room,” said Mashile.
“Once inside the room the detective noticed bloodstains against the wall in the bedroom.

“In the kitchen, there was bed linen hanging on the door as if it was washed.”

Mashile said while outside the detective searched the wheelie bin and found the body.

He said the victim was declared dead on the scene by Gauteng Emergency Services.

The suspect is expected to face the charges in court soon.

“Edenvale SAPS management would like to thank the community at large for their assistance in this matter,” said Mashile.
