Learners get creative for Edenglen High inter-house art competition

The idea of the project was for each house to come up with a collective design that would incorporate the theme, knowledge is power, the tree in the school emblem and the house name.

During November, Edenglen High School held an inter-house art competition, which saw the school houses, Indaba, Mopane, Marula and Tamboti, compete against one another.
Each house consisted of three teams, which included digital designers, tracers and painters.
The idea of the project was for each house to come up with a collective design that would incorporate the theme, knowledge is power, the tree in the school emblem and the house name.
Learners were only allowed to use the school colours: black, white and red.
This project took over 30 hours to complete and was done over four weeks.
The results of the competition are as follows:
• First place – Indaba
• Second place – Marula
• Third place – Mopane
• Fourth place – Tamboti
The school thanked Me Vink, who oversaw the project and was available to guide the learners.
Edenglen High gave special mention to Grade Nine learner Rabelani Mudau, who was present for many of the hours spent on designing, tracing and painting during the inter-house competition.
