Dragons make waves at EGA championships

Twenty-one swimmers from Dragons Swimming Club competed in the Eastern Gauteng Aquatics Senior and Junior Winter Championships where they won 49 medals and recorded 84 new personal best times. These are some of the club members and swimmers.

Members of the Dragons Swimming Club made a splash when they competed in the Eastern Gauteng Aquatic’s (EGA) Senior and Junior Winter Championships.

Held in August, at St Benedict’s College, 21 swimmers from the club competed and won 49 medals, which included 17 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze medals.

Besides winning medals, the participating club members recorded 84 new personal best times.

“We are so proud of every one of our swimmers who took part, and we look forward to watching them in the upcoming galas,” said Alex Waldauer of the Dragons Swimming Club.
