One of the victims gave chase in his vehicle.

The suspects allegedly opened fire at the victim on Kloof Road and the victim rammed his car into the suspects’ Toyota.

In the process, the victim lost control and flipped his car on its roof.

The suspects managed to flee the scene, hitting another vehicle in the process.

A lookout was issued for the suspects and the vehicle they were travelling in.

Shortly after the incident, the suspect’s damaged vehicle was found abandoned on Barbara Road in Primrose.

“No serious injuries were reported in the ordeal,” confirmed Capt Andre de Jager, spokesperson for Bedfordview SAPS.

Residents Action Group (RAG) attributed the recovery of the vehicle to quick intervention, the use of technology, crime analysis experience and expertise.

The organisation thanked Night Guard Security, CPG Armed Response, Blue Hawk Tactical, BSG Security Solutions, National Security and Fire for their assistance and teamwork.

“CPG located the vehicle after receiving information from the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (BCPF) and the Navic License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera system.”
