The Bedford Centre School Art Competition has kicked off and here is what you need to know!

Attention all young artists of 5 to 19 years old! This is a competition for all youngsters in and around Bedfordview to showcase their art skills. Stand a chance to win incredible prizes for yourself and your school from Bedford Centre & PNA. If you are between the ages of 17-19, you can walk away with an R30 000 bursary sponsored by Oakfields College! Also, if you are in the top three of your age category, you will be a part of the Bedford School Art Competition Exhibition!

Here is what you need to do:

  • Find your free entry form at the Bedford Centre info kiosk or email bodenstein@epsgroup.co.za
  • Create an art piece on the A3 entry page with the theme, “Come Home To Bedford”.
  • Include the Bedford Centre logo in your artwork.
  • Submit your entry by 18:00 on Tuesday, October 12 to the Bedford Centre info desk.

There will be five categories divided into the following age groups:
Primary School (5-7, 8-10, 11-13 years old) and High School (14-16 and 17-19 years old).

The entries will be judge by a selected panel of judges from The Art Window, Bedford Centre Management, and independent local artists. The top three entries of each category will be exhibited in Bedford Centre from October 22-29, where the public will be able to vote for their winner. Winners of each category will receive various prizes including a Bedford Centre voucher to the value of R1 000 each! Each winner will also be featured in the Bedfordview and Edenvale News.
