Sacred Heart College celebrates 131st birthday

Even though the learners and staff could not be together on the day to celebrate in one venue, everyone united in their respective festivities.

A global pandemic could not stop learners and staff members at Sacred Heart College from celebrating the school’s 131st birthday on October 2.

The day featured a virtual liturgy organised by the school’s director of ethos, Pam Paton-Mills.

Learners enjoyed the service from their various classrooms.

The primary school showcased dance routines and skits to their peers, and high school learners battled each other on the dance floor after weeks of preparation.

Sacred Heart Day also featured an array of food and treats on sale as well as music blaring from all parts of the school.

Learners of all ages enjoyed ice cream with their friends in memory of Uncle Sammy who served the school for over 40 years.
